Ms Janice Chia, Founder & Managing Director, Ageing Asia.

Influenced by the changing needs of her elders, Janice was inspired to start Ageing Asia to drive and nurture opportunities and the development of innovation and solutions that address the evolving needs of the rising ageing population in the region. Having accumulated a vast experience from visiting over 500 residential and aged care homes from over 15 countries since starting her practice in 2009, Janice has been actively involved in consulting organisations seeking global best practices in housing, health and care models that can be translated for the Asian market. She has also been quoted regularly in the media, such as the BBC, on Asia Pacific business trends in ageing.

 

Janice has also launched several industry initiatives with a global reach of 60+ countries and 16,000 B2B, 6000 B2C:

  • Ageing Asia Alliance – Asia’s first industry network on the business of ageing with over 1,700 members 
  • Annual International Ageing Asia Innovation Forum & Exhibition (AAIF) held in Singapore – Asia’s most influential platform on the business of ageing

As the General Manager at Ageing Asia, Sylwin oversees the administration and operational aspects of the company. With over 15 years of experience building partnerships and rapport with various top decision makers from IT, financial, government, transport, healthcare to manufacturing sector, Sylwin has been instrumental in developing the company’s core competencies. 

 

Since joining Ageing Asia in 2012, Sylwin has been actively engaging in discussions with key industry stakeholders, and constantly kept updated on the latest trends in Asia Pacific’s ageing market. Sylwin is also the Head of Business Development at Ageing Asia. She continually seeks to enhance the quality of Ageing Asia’s B2B platform, and curate opportunities for the Alliance’s members and partners to access the region’s ageing market. Sylwin is an Indonesian who has lived in Singapore for close to 20 years. She holds an Honours in Bachelor of Management from the University of London, and has a passion for wine & yoga.

 

Wilson is a well versed, senior strategic leader with extensive global and regional expertise in technology, consulting, application development, systems integration, solution delivery, process engineering, operations, alliance management and management of multi-disciplined teams.

Wilson brings a wealth of expertise and experience to grow a business through strategic application of technology, improve cost efficiency, and inspire his teams to deliver high level of performance. His strategic customer, stakeholder, vendor and partner engagements results in profitable long-term partnerships. His forte is a strong emphasis on business outcome, creativity, transformation, quality delivery and speed. He has a solid track record of 42 years in the IT industry, namely as Group COO in VE Technology Group, Director in IMDA Technology Planning, Managing Director in Avaya Asia Pacific Global Services , Vice President in HP Asia Pacific Enterprise Business Operation and System Engineer in IBM Singapore. Wilson graduated with a B. Eng (Hons) and M. Sc from National University of Singapore

Keith graduated as a Gold Medalist in Gerontological Management Studies at Temasek Polytechnic in 2019. He is currently studying Bachelor in Business at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). With a passion for serving and developing the eldercare sector, Keith has joined the industry and some of his past works include:

 

  • Involved in conducting an Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP) in Temasek Polytechnic which was featured in The Straits Times
  • Worked in Vivo Bene Village – a Thailand Aged Care Facility during his Internship
  • Supported Ageing Asia Partners in Industry Trainings locally and abroad
  • Executed and led events with Ageing Asia Partners
  • Contributed in content curation for key Ageing Asia Publications 

 

Keith constantly tries to find eldercare models all across the world and has since been an expert in curating the best models. He hopes to challenge traditional norms towards ageing and bring a fresh and new perspective to this industry. During his free time, he has a knack for e-sports, volunteering and boxing. 

 

Chrystal graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology with Honours (Distinction) and a Minor in Special Needs Education and Inclusivity. With her interest in addressing societal challenges and interest in the eldercare sector, she joined the industry upon graduation. She is an ambitious, highly motivated and responsible individual who possesses strong interpersonal skills. She is well-disciplined with proven ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently under extreme pressure while meeting tight deadline schedules. As a true team player, Chrystal actively embraces opportunities to learn and grow, valuing the knowledge and insights gained from her colleagues and stakeholders in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
