6th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum 2015

The 6th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum (AAIF) in Singapore gathered over 440 C-level delegates across 19 countries to exchange insights and identify the opportunities driven by Asia Pacific’s 1.2 billion ageing baby boomers.

Themed ‘Operational Excellence in Ageing-in-place for Developers, Operators and Investors’, AAIF2015 showcased some of the world’s most innovative and sustainable housing, healthcare, wellbeing and community models that support ageing-in-place. Participants engaged in perspectives from over 35 global ageing experts across private, public and not-for-profit sectors, including global keynote speaker, Mr Daniel Reingold, President & CEO of RiverSpring Health, USA who showcased America's integrated housing & aged care services model and the World's first overnight dementia care model for the first time in Singapore.

Key Highlights from AAIF2015

  • Launch of 3rd Bi-Annual APAC Silver Economy Business Opportunities Report 2015  - projected Asia Pacific’s ageing market potential tol reach US$3.3 Trillion by 2020. The report also sees Singapore emerging first in the Ageing Asia Silver Economy Index 2015, followed by Hong Kong SAR and Australia in second and third placing respectively.
  • Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RDNS – Australia’s largest provider of home nursing services and ASPIRE55 – Asia’s first virtual retirement village to co-develop services, engage in research of the needs of baby boomers in Asia.
  • The Prevention of Elder Abuse Evening Symposium & Knowledge Partnership Exchange witnessed a knowledge partnership exchange in the Prevention of Elder Abuse with 12 senior care operators in the Asia Pacific with The Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Health, USA to enhance public awareness, and create an ongoing support network for knowledge transfer about elder abuse.
  • The 3rd Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards Ceremony & Dinner gathered over 180 international and regional industry guests15 April 2015 to applaud winners for their outstanding contribution to Asia Pacific’s senior care and healthcare industry.
